Welcome
Welcome to the first edition of 4WD Treks Close to Brisbane!
It’s been a great pleasure researching the tracks in this edition from leisurely drives to challenging off-road experiences.
A huge thank you to the many who assisted with this project.
We hope you enjoy the drives and exploring around Brisbane and our following blogs with tips, news, reviews and more.
Kind regards Danielle Lancaster
All our treks are detailed in full with maps and comprehensive driving instructions including waypoints, picnic and camp facilities and little gems along the way.
Almost two years in the making it covers the best of the best beach drives, drives through ancient rainforest and over mountains.
We hope it is all you will ever want in a book for touring this magnificent and varied region in Queensland.
Many of the directions can be followed in reverse or added to other treks to make a longer touring experience. Treks and beaches are constantly changing so you may find some deviation in trek distances. Tyre pressures can also have an effect on the odometer.
Waypoints in the route directions can be utilised by those with GPS receivers (GPSRs) and/or topographical maps. Waypoints are available for download in the standard GPX format from www.boilingbilly.net.au and follow the links from their home page.
